Abstract

The Industrial Revolution 4.0 era has brought major changes to various aspects of life, including Islamic education. Digital technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and big data have significantly changed learning methods and educational interactions. This article examines the challenges and opportunities faced by Islamic education in facing digital transformation, including infrastructure constraints, the readiness of educators, and the potential negative impacts of technology on Islamic values. In addition, this article offers strategic solutions, such as the development of technology-based curricula, training for educators, and collaboration with the technology sector to create an innovative Islamic education system that remains based on religious values. With the right approach, Islamic education can utilize technology to strengthen learning and build a generation that is not only intellectually intelligent, but also has noble morals and is ready to face the challenges of the digital era.
