Keywords:

This research examines the integration of Islamic education and Islamic law through the discipline of ushul fiqh as an instrument to bridge diverse interpretations in multicultural societies. Through a qualitative-descriptive approach, this article analyzes how the methodology of ushul fiqh can be revitalized in the context of Islamic education to create a more inclusive understanding of Islamic law. The results show that teaching ushul fiqh with an emphasis on epistemological and philosophical aspects can be an effective means of building dialogue between Islamic intellectual traditions, while promoting tolerance for interpretative diversity. This research contributes to the development of Islamic education models that not only teach legal products (fiqh) but also legal reasoning methodologies (ushul fiqh) that enable students to understand the diversity of opinions as intellectual wealth. The implications of this research highlight the importance of reforming Islamic education curricula to emphasize the development of critical and analytical thinking skills in understanding religious texts, thereby enabling responses to contemporary issues in multicultural societies.
